St Phillips Bridge 1941

St Phillips Bridge was built in 1841 on which a toll of ½d was levied until 1875. replacing the Counterslip Ferry. Hence old Bristolians know it as “The Ha’penny Bridge”. It was bombed in 1941 and had to be rebuilt.
